Summer Fest is nearly here, with Milford Fish Festival happening next Saturday! Are you excited yet? Because we certainly are! And, it isn’t just us… we have a whole host of exhibitors, street food traders and entertainers who are buzzing with excitement to get down to Mackerel Quay and deliver an amazing fun-packed day, to celebrate the launch of Pembrokeshire Fish Week at Milford Waterfront!

There’s going to be something for everyone to enjoy, from live music to cookery classes, not to mention a very long list of local companies that are going to be set up and smiling on the big day.

A taste of who’ll be here

We’ve got a big catch of exhibitors lined up, including (*deep breath*) the Darwin Centre, Silent World, Barti Rum, Blas Y Tir, Cinnamon Grove Gin, Marshmarloes, Pembrokeshire Sea Salt Company, Shore Seafood, Assembelly, Swshi, The Pod, Alzheimer’s Society Cymru, Milford Youth Matters, Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority, Pembrokeshire Lottery, the Torch Theatre, and lots more street food, produce, craft and information stalls to visit on the day.

See the experts at work in the Fish Kitchen

Want to learn how to cook fish the right way? And watch mouth-watering dishes being prepared from local produce? Yes please! We’ll have demonstrations from incredibly talented local chefs, filling their pans with Pembrokeshire produce and creating delicious dishes through the day at the ‘Fish Kitchen’ on Mackerel Quay. Ellen Picton from Healthaspire will be showing us how to make Thai fishcakes, Ben Gobbi from COCO’s Restaurant will be preparing poached monkfish in Parma ham, Joshua Bromwell from The Olive Tree will be asking us to check out his mussels and Dan Mills from Martha’s Vineyard will be cooking seafood chowder. We’ll also have a scallop shucking demonstration from Pembrokeshire Scallops’ Neil Walters, a crab and lobster preparation masterclass from Jono Voyce of Solva Seafoods, and Douglas Balish, Executive Chef at The Grove will be preparing sea bream with oyster, cucumber and jalapeno sauce.

Let us entertain you

As if we didn’t already have enough going on, there’s more! Pure West Radio are going to be serving up some foot-tapping entertainment! It wouldn’t be a festival without music, right? They will be taking over the main stage with the best local talent, including Chris Didcote, Rosey Cale, The Rick Berry Trio, and many others through the day, right up until 8.00pm!
