Fun for all the family – that’s Milford Fish Festival. It’s been ofishal for a while that Milford Waterfront is a great plaice to hang out with your shoal, but this special day will have you hooked! You’re in for a sizzling summer of fun with Summer Fest 2019, and as Milford Fish Festival is the launch event of the summer season, and Pembrokeshire Fish Week, the forecast for fun is looking good!

We’re going to have so much going on at Milford Waterfront on 22nd June, on the land and the sea. For your little fishes, our very own Milford Waterfront resident business In House Crafts will be offering free children’s ‘Fish Wand’ craft workshops in the marquee on Mackerel Quay. There will also be free children’s cookery workshops from another Milford Waterfront business Healthaspire in our pop up ‘Fish Kitchen’, where budding chefs will learn how to cook healthy fish cakes. We’ll also have free face painting, and an interactive fishing pool.

On the main stage, we’ll have the team from Pure West Radio keeping us entertained all day with a great line up of local musicians and dancers, including Steve Bartram, Kyle Kirkhouse, Rosey Cale and the Kelly Williams School of Dance.

And, it’s not just fun on the land. We’re going to be making a splash with lots of fun activities on the sea as well. It wouldn’t be right to have a festival celebrating fish without getting out on the waterway.

Have you heard about Discover Coast and Cleddau boat trips? At Milford Fish Festival, instead of running our daily 2 hour wildlife boat trips, we’ll be running short trips from the Mackerel Stage on the 11 seat ‘Discovery’, and Dale Sailing will also be offering trips day on the 50 seat ‘Lady Helen’. All taster boat trips on the day will be £10 per person (weather permitting).

We’re also excited to be joined by Angle RNLI. Lifeboat ‘RNLB Mark Mason’ will be moored on the Mackerel Stage, and open to members of the public to have a look around (subject to availability on the day).

Paddle West will be with us too, offering canoeing taster sessions off the slipway opposite Phoenix Bowl. The canoes were really popular over Easter and half term, and we are excited that they can join us for Milford Fish Festival.

We are sure all of that fun will work up quite an appetite, so don’t forget to take part in the Milford Chowder Trail. You can help decide which of the participating restaurants at Milford Waterfront will be crowned ‘Milford Chowder Champion 2019’ by collecting a score sheet and commemorative bowl for £5, and sampling the scrummy chowder on offer.

Make 22nd June a day to remember at Milford Fish Festival!
