The first stage of this competition for 2D art has attracted over 500 entries from across the world, including Japan, Canada, the USA and Spain. Over 70 entries will be on display during the exhibition which opens on Saturday 5th October.
Everyone is invited to visit the Waterfront Gallery to view the entries on display between 5th and 30th October. The submissions will be judged by a panel of distinguished judges, including artists Catrin Webster and Janette Kerr, painter Ken Maycock, and Stan MacIlvenney OBE who is Chair of the Haven Waterway Enterprise Zone. The winning artist will be announced at a prize giving on 23rd October and will receive £5,000 plus a solo residency at the Waterfront Gallery starting in February next year.
The exhibition will be open from 5th to 30th October, between 10.30am and 4.30pm (excluding Sundays).
