Discover Milford Haven in a series of three new heritage trails, at Milford Waterfront, created by the young people of Milford Haven.

Three unique heritage walking trails which celebrate our town’s stories and sense of place have been created for everyone to enjoy. A Heritage Lottery Funded project, coordinated by Milford Youth Matters, was launched in 2021, and pupils from Milford Haven School were asked to research stories about our ‘Historic Haven’, ‘Energy Kingdom’ and ‘Water Ways’, the key themes that make Milford Haven’s Sense of Place so unique.

The young people did a fantastic job in not only finding out about interesting stories from Milford Haven’s history, but also designing some really creative artwork to accompany their tales. There were over 30 submissions reviewed by a panel of judges, and a selection was chosen to be featured on our website. We are delighted to celebrate Milford Haven’s stories with the three themed Heritage Walking Trails at Milford Waterfront, and to be able to tell the full story on our website.

These stories have been researched and written by the pupils of Milford Haven School, who have used their creativity to tell the stories of Milford Haven’s history in their own words.
