Much of the contemporary work displayed is inspired by the landscape and light of Pembrokeshire which includes all different styles and mediums such as fine art, mixed media, sculpture, photography, ceramics, papier-mâché, jewellery, glass, bronze, metal and woodwork.
Creators of the high profile art competition ‘Wales Contemporary’, this open international competition features all aspects of 2D and 3D art inspired by Wales. With an exhibition held at the Waterfront Gallery each year, then touring on to esteemed locations such as The Senedd and Pierhead Building in Cardiff and the Mall Galleries in London.
Promoting, supporting and developing all things arts and crafts, the Waterfront Gallery hold exhibitions frequently throughout the year with contributions from both resident and visiting artists.
The Waterfront Gallery is a registered charity (no. 1126403), supporting local Welsh artists and schools, they’re also proud to promote local talent by offering internships within the gallery to school and college leavers inspiring future generations.
Housed in the Old Sail Loft, the Waterfront Gallery resides in the same building which previously serviced the Nantucket Whaling ships.
