Milford Beach Activity Centre

Make a splash at Milford Beach Activity Centre and experience stand up paddleboarding and kayaking from the Hot Water Slip, to explore the foreshores of the historic Milford Haven Waterway surrounding Milford Haven.

Local owners, Sam, Mike and Chris wanted to give something back to their hometown, so worked together on an opportunity to set up a water sports centre overlooking Milford Beach, to give everyone the chance to get out onto the water in a safe and supervised setting.

So, if you’re looking for stand up paddle board or kayak hire in Pembrokeshire, each rental lasts for one hour, and includes all the safety equipment needed, along with a safety briefing before you get paddling. Wetsuits are also available, along with indoor changing facilities. SUP and single kayak hire is £15 and double kayak hire is £20.

Paddlers of all ages are welcome at Milford Beach Activity Centre. Children aged 8 to 11 can paddle with an adult on the water with them. Those aged 11 to 17 can paddle with an adult watching from the shore. Younger children wearing a mandatory buoyancy aid are able to sit as a passenger on a double kayak or paddleboard with a responsible adult. And over 18s can hire their own equipment.

If you’re organising a group event, Milford Beach Activity Centre can accommodate groups of up to 20 paddlers at a time which is ideal for team building events, end of school parties and birthday celebrations. Operating in line with the tidal range and weather conditions, Milford Beach Activity Centre’s opening hours vary from week to week, so it’s always advisable to check their Facebook page for confirmation of the week ahead.
