We regularly feature the people behind the businesses at Milford Waterfront. We speak to everyone from artists and chefs to personal trainers to learn about their special skills and talents, their favourite dishes and items for sale, what they enjoy most about working at Milford Waterfront and lots more!

This time we speak to Shan Rimmer, owner of The Cheeky Sheep, the go-to shop for unique creations including hand painted glassware, fluid art jewellery, original pastel artwork and lots more.

What is the best thing about working at Milford Waterfront?

I moved here from South Wales after years and years of visiting Pembrokeshire and I’ve always loved the area. Milford Waterfront has such a lot of great independent businesses now, that it’s becoming a ‘must visit' destination. When I look out of the shop window onto Milford Marina, it’s such a stunning view that just confirms I made the right decision to come here!

Is there anything people should know about The Cheeky Sheep that they may not know?

Everything in the shop is made by myself, from the pastel artwork and the jewellery to the decorated glassware. As there’s such a diverse collection in the shop it keeps me busy! I’ve also started doing fused glass gifts and jewellery, something that I’ve found to be great fun to do.

Have you got any special skills or talents?

My first love was always drawing, Milford Haven is a great place to be based, there are such a lot of lovely places really close by that give me inspiration for my drawings, so there’s always something new to see in the shop.

What is your favourite item at The Cheeky Sheep and why?

Because what I make and sell is so varied I’d have to say that each time I design something new it’s always my favourite! At the moment it’s the fused glass framed pictures, they capture the area and coastline perfectly.

What has been your favourite day in work and why?

Occasionally I will sit outside the shop and do a drawing, I love those days as I get lots of adults and children coming up and talking to me about what I’m doing. It’s lovely to just chat with everyone and I get lots of suggestions of where to draw next!
