Whether you’re a local or just visiting Pembrokeshire or Milford Haven, it’s time to pick your poison as we’ve put together 8 things you can do this October half term to keep yourself and all the family entertained…

1. Experience love at first bite at one of our fantastic eateries

3. Go on a spooktacular shopping trip


Autumn has arrived and so has the fashion! There is plenty of new stunning autumnal clothing and accessories now in stock at Boobaloo Boutique, Salt on the Strand, Image by Vanessa and Pebbles. From woolly hats and knitted dresses to puffer coats and lace up boots, Milford Waterfront will have you feeling fa-boo-lous in no time!

The Cheeky Sheep have also got in the Halloween spirit with their new handmade Halloween beakers and tealight holders which are available for personalisation too!

4. Enjoy some fang-tastic treats


Now it wouldn’t be Halloween without treats and you won’t be short of sweet treats at Milford Waterfront this October half term!

Stop off at Scott’s Sweet Shop, with over 250 types of sweets you’ll be spoilt for choice! Scott’s Sweet Shop are currently selling their handmade “Spooky Halloween” milk chocolate bars, you better be quick though as they’re selling fast.

The Cheesy Cow are also now taking pre-orders for their Halloween graze box, full of sweet and savoury treats as well as Sugar Loaf, who are taking orders for their sweet spooky boxes - perfect for the little ones!

Although we have waved goodbye to the warmer weather, ice (s)cream and gelato tastes just as good all year around, enjoy a fusion of flavours of homemade goodness from The Scoop Ice Cream Parlour & Coffee Shop and Velluto Gelato.

For the “chocoholics” out there, Dilly’s Chocolates and Trwffl is a must with their irresistible handmade chocolate or head over to Sugar Loaf to get your fix of their popular delicious doughnuts!

5. Get fired up at Milford Haven Museum


Milford Haven Museum needs your help this half term, a baby dragon has gotten loose, and the museum are in need of sharp young eyes to help them find it.

Head over to Milford Haven Museum for the free fun activity, “Here Be Dragons” during their usual opening hours to help search for the baby dragon whilst finding out some interesting information about the magical creature and its ancient ties with Wales!

Whilst you’re there, why not dive into the rich and fascinating heritage of Milford Haven by taking a tour around the Museum?

6. Watch a wickedly good film at the Torch Theatre


It’s hard to beat a trip to the cinema with your friends and family! The Torch Theatre will be showcasing family-friendly film “Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile” (rated PG) over the October half term and for those horror-fanatics, they will also be showing the final instalment of the “Halloween” trilogy, “Halloween Ends” (rated 18).

7. Get your skeletons moving on a walk


Autumn is a beautiful season and exploring Milford Haven on foot is a great way to celebrate the autumnal landscapes.

We’ve put together a variety of scenic strolls for all abilities and you can even delve into the rich history of Milford Haven whilst walking by taking part in one (or all three) of our Heritage Walking Trails, where you can learn more about our Water Ways, Historic Haven and Energy Kingdom.

8. Have a thriller time at Phoenix Bowl & Pirate Pete's Adventure Play


We are sure Pembrokeshire’s only bowling attraction, Phoenix Bowl & Pirate Pete's Adventure Play will be right up your alley this October half term!

There will be nonstop fun for the whole family whilst you take part in a game of tenpin bowling, and not forgetting about the youngsters who can enjoy 2 play zones including a soft area!
