With the autumn half term break ahead of us, you may be looking for fun things to do in Pembrokeshire with the kids. We’ve rounded up some of the things to do in Milford Haven to keep you entertained during the break.
Whether it's with teenagers or toddlers, pack your October half-term break with fun activities, Halloween events and unique experiences. There is lots to get up to over half-term at Milford Waterfront, that you can easily fill the whole break.
Let your stomach do the talking
The variety of food options at Milford Waterfront is mind blowing. Great food, tasty drinks, sublime service, amazing views.
Discover local food venues that are loved by foodies throughout Pembrokeshire – from lunchtime dining hotspots and cosy gastropubs, to vintage restaurants, Insta-worthy brunch faves and vegan eateries. There’s plenty of options on the menu for the kids too.
Fun family-friendly activities
How about striking up some family fun and showing off your bowling skills with the kids at Phoenix Bowl? Go easy on them though, keep the sides up at least! It’s not just about bowling at Phoenix Bowl, it’s also home to Pirate Pete’s Adventure Play, multiple pool tables and fun arcade-like machines to complete your family day out.
You could also head to the award-winning Milford Haven Museum to explore our town’s interesting past in a fun and engaging way for kids to enjoy.
Spook-tacular fun for the kids on Halloween
Foam will be dressing their Foam Domes for a spooktacular Halloween treat on 31st October between 12pm and 4pm! For £14.95 each child will receive a ‘Halloween Treat Box’ including a mocktail, selection of sandwiches, scary cakes and a party bag, with Halloween themed music playing in the background. Further information can be found on their event listing (minimum booking of 6 children required).
Cookery class for the kids
A good opportunity for the kids (aged 9 to 16 years) to get hands on this half term in the Healthaspire kitchen, learning new cookery skills for life. They will learn how to make soup and bread, sausage casserole, carrot cake muffins and granola bars. The kids can then take home what they make along with the recipes to recreate at home. To book your child on and for more information simply visit their event listing.
Get your steps in by exploring our Walking Trails
If you’re hot on making sure you get your steps in over half term, you may wish to explore the various walking routes where you may choose to enjoy breath taking views of the Milford Haven Waterway or do a loop around Milford Waterfront past all the shops and cafes.
If you’re the adventurer type, nothing quite comes close to getting some fresh air admiring the beautiful nature on a leafy woodland trail; now that’s what we call autumn!
It’s show time at the Torch Theatre
There’s nothing better than making a trip to the cinema with the kids, showing a variety of humorous, trilling and heart-warming family-friendly films over the half-term, including ‘James Bond: No Time To Die’, ‘The Addams Family 2’ and ‘Paw Patrol: The Movie’ …there will be a film to suit the whole family!
We look forward to seeing lots of visitors at Milford Waterfront over half term! Don’t forget to use the hashtag #VisitMilfordHaven if you’re sharing photos on social media.
