It’s no secret that here at Milford Waterfront we love our food! From festivals with the best street food to a variety of great restaurants and café’s serving delicious meals and snacks, we are really spoilt for choice.

Although things are a little different this year, there are still takeaway and collection options to help you celebrate Eat What You Want Day whilst observing social distancing rules. Whether you have a sweet tooth or just fancy carb-loading, throw the rule book out of the window (figuratively) and enjoy the day. The main thing is to eat something that you truly enjoy, so whatever food that might be, get celebrating!

One thing that we’ve never really understood is the unwritten rule that breakfast is specifically to be consumed in the morning…not today! Spinnaker Café is open every day from 11:30am – 3pm for takeaways with a limited menu which includes all-time favourite ‘bacon baps’ which you can collect as you are passing and enjoy for lunch or even as pre-dinner snack!

Nothing beats a good pizza with amazing toppings, so forget about the carbs just this once and enjoy fresh authentic Neapolitan pizza, homemade pasta dishes and luxurious desserts from Impasto! Although they aren’t open on Mondays you can take a look at their menu and get your order in for collection from Wednesday to Sunday evenings between 5pm and 10pm.

For those of you who love a bit of gourmet restaurant cuisine, you can enjoy some great seasonal dishes by local head chef Ben Gobbi of Ben’s Kitchen who offers frozen ready cooked meal delivery service in the local area. Deliveries are available Wednesday to Saturday so why not see what’s on the menu and place your order for this week?

Usually it’s the parents who are in charge of selecting what to eat, but how about switching it up when you are taking your daily exercise, and letting the kids choose. Crow’s Nest Café is open every day from 10:30am to 3pm serving takeaway food to include favourites for adults and children such as hot dogs, chicken nuggets and ice cream. Remember anything goes….. tub of ice cream followed by sausage and chips? Why not!

If you are craving something healthy and equally as delicious look no further! Healthaspire offers personal nutrition plans and posts great recipes on their Facebook page, however if you want your meal made for you Healthaspire Meals delivers a selection of special meals throughout the county with vegetarian and vegan options too! Check out their weekly menu at Healthaspire Meals Facebook page and collect or get your order delivered in advance!

If chocolate is your thing, Trwffl is offering free local delivery or postage for online orders of mouth-watering handmade Welsh chocolates to share with your lockdown crew. They also have a vegan range available to indulge in!

There are many more businesses locally who also offer takeaway or delivery for more delicious food and treats to celebrate Eat What You Want Day at home. Check out our full list on our blog post.
