Life in Milford Haven is slowly starting to feel a little more normal following a few months of uncertainty. Covid-19 has undoubtedly shown us how adaptable, resilient, strong, courageous, creative and kind the businesses and people of Milford Haven are!

We are proud to be part of such an amazing town in the heart of Pembrokeshire. Community spirit has shone through with crowds clapping for our carers and key workers every Thursday night for 10 weeks. Vessels on the Haven joined in by sounding their horns and Svitzer tugs put on spectacular displays in support too – the atmosphere really was quite something. Some berth holders at Milford Marina even decorated their boats with Christmas lights! We’ve seen fantastic fundraising efforts from Pembrokeshire Yacht Club, Hakin United Football Club, Milford Tritons and our very own challenge alongside the Port of Milford Haven to run, cycle or walk the 7,066 miles that an LNG gas ship travels from Qatar to Milford Haven. We raised over £1,000 for our Charity of the Year; Get the Boys a Lift who do a great job of improving mental health within the county.

There is a feeling of positivity in the air. Businesses here are starting to re-open and welcome both old and new customers with social distancing measures in place. Milford Waterfront is getting back to the new normal after things changed so dramatically just a mere few months ago. Many of the shops here have re-opened their doors, health and beauty businesses are preparing to open, and cafes and restaurants are getting their outdoor seating areas ready to serve up delicious food and drink and do what they do best!

We’ve been busy behind the scenes getting ready to welcome you back and have installed social distancing floor graphics which link to our sense of place. If you are visiting us, why not see if you can spot all 6?

So please, come along and browse the independent shops, indulge in an ice cream or coffee and cake al fresco, take a stroll around the vibrant marina, sit and watch the comings and goings of the Milford Haven Waterway on our picnic area and just enjoy being out and about after a very strange few months! You can see exactly what’s open on our blog.

We’ve got lots of free parking spaces at Milford Waterfront along Mackerel Quay, underneath Victoria Bridge and on the hill behind The Harbourmaster, but please avoid the permit-only parking spaces behind and in between the shops, cafes and restaurants on Nelson Quay which are reserved for residents only.

Each business has their own safety and social distancing measures in place and we kindly ask that you respect and adhere to these for your own safety, and that of others.

We really cannot wait to welcome both old and new customers to Milford Waterfront this summer. We’d love to see what you get up to whilst you’re here so please feel free to tag us on social media.

We're getting ready to welcome you back to Milford Waterfront
