Are you ready for Summer Fest?
It’s going to be a sizzling summer of celebrations at Milford Waterfront’s Summer Fest 2019!
We’ll be casting off Summer Fest 2019 with the launch event of Pembrokeshire Fish Week right here at Milford Waterfront, overlooking the historic Milford Haven Waterway. This year’s Milford Fish Festival is a free entry event on Saturday 22nd June, and will be taking place in a new location, on Mackerel Quay. Festival-goers will be spoilt for choice with fresh seafood and street food vendors, as well as stalls selling local produce and crafts, cookery demonstrations from local chefs, walkabout entertainers, live music, canoeing, boat trips, and much more!
And, to celebrate Milford Fish Festival's return, the Milford Chowder Trail will be making a comeback, with restaurants around Milford Waterfront serving up yummy fresh fish chowder, competing to be crowned the ‘2019 Milford Chowder Champion’. To take part, collect a score sheet and a commemorative bowl for £5 on the day.
Worried you’ll be feeling the blues after Milford Fish Festival? Luckily for you, the team of volunteers from Milford Haven Round Table are brewing a fantastic day for Milford Haven Beer Festival! The marquee on Mackerel Quay will be transformed for the day with a full line up of local real ales and ciders, a prosecco and gin bar, street food and live music through the day. A £10 entry fee includes a commemorative glass and 4 beer tokens (equivalent to two pints). Or, go for the £20 option and get a commemorative glass and 12 beer tokens (equals six pints). All proceeds from this event will help Milford Haven Round Table to keep up their great work in the local community.
If you’re still hungry for more, Summer Fest 2019 will be finishing up on the weekend of 17th and 18th August with the welcome return of Street Food Warehouse to cook up a storm at Milfood Haven Street Food Festival. Following the success of last year’s Welsh Street Food Awards, we can’t wait to try everything on the menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner! Spicers Meat Wagon, The Pod, Assembelly, The Dog House, The Pink Peppercorn and Dutty’s Cheesecake Van will be among just some of the 18 vendors here over the weekend. Make sure you arrive hungry!
